Fertility Treatment Support
When trying to conceive is way more complicated than you expected…
It is difficult to describe the rollercoaster of fertility treatment to someone who has not been on it - the excitement and hope paired with vulnerability and sometimes, heartbreaking losses. One of the most difficult parts can be the loneliness and frustration of walking through a world feeling unseen, amid insensitive questions, hurtful assumptions, and significant financial burdens. Many people find themselves experiencing difficult feelings, like anger and shame, or have a hard time being around friends and family who have small children.
How does therapy help?
You deserve a safe place to process, to wish, to grieve, and to be understood. I offer support for parents during and after their fertility journeys through person-centred and self-compassion based approaches, so you can process in safety and with understanding.
Third party reproduction, through surrogacy, and/or through use of donor egg, sperm, or embryos, comes with it’s own set of questions - both those you may be asked and those you may ask yourself. Whether at the beginning stages of considering this path or navigating the realities of parenting (or co-parenting), I offer understanding through both education and personal experience, as well as curiosity and collaboration to support you through your personal story.
