I offer various approached to anxiety-related symptoms, including solution-focused, CBT, ACT, and person-centred therapy, with a focus on collaboration and compassion.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive-compulsive disorder may appear in many ways - checking that things are “just right”, contamination or health-related concerns, fear of causing harm, distressing intrusive thoughts and others. Through therapeutic intervention, successful treatment of OCD is possible. Inference-based CBT (or i-CBT) aims to help clients understand and identify the process of inferential confusion and obsessional doubt, learning to dismiss rather than engage. This process involves working through set modules that will explore and uncover the how of OCD without requiring intentional exposure.
